Supporting our community
Powering better journeys for all Australians
The Ampol Foundation, established in 2019, is the vehicle through which we deliver our corporate social responsibility activities.
As a proud and independent Australian company, we are committed to being a positive contributor to communities and using our network and employee base to improve the lives of all Australians. We are also committed to delivering our company purpose, Powering better journeys, today and tomorrow.
The focus of the Ampol Foundation is guided by two pillars: youth education and safety. As Australia’s leading transport fuels provider that exists in hundreds of communities across the country, we are passionate about keeping our people and customers safe. We are also dedicated to improving access to education amongst disadvantaged youth and believe that investment in this area has a long-lasting impact on society.
To support our strategy, in 2020, we announced new partnerships with The Smith Family and Surf Life Saving Australia. These new partners complement our longstanding partnerships with the Clontarf Foundation, the Stars Foundation and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, along with our national Ampol Best All Rounder Award program.
Community news
Our staff volunteers generously dedicated their time for National Volunteering Week, participating in activities with organisations like the Clontarf Foundation and Landcare.
Landcare met up with staff at the Marrickville Golf Course, clearing weeds and planting 100 native plants, while visits were made across Brisbane and Sydney, to engage with the inspiring students of Clontarf Academy’s.
We are proud to see our 2 partners, the Clontarf Foundation and Red Bull Ampol Racing continue their work together.
The talented students of Gunnedah's Clontarf Academy have designed the breathtaking 2024 Indigenous liveries for the upcoming Darwin Triple Crown.
As one of the newest additions to Clontarf's network, the Gunnedah boys will get to experience Supercars Indigenous Round race weekend and present their artwork, named 'The Journey of the Driver'.
Twelve schools, six games, three states, one incredible journey. Ampol Little Origin 2024 has wrapped up, and what a season it’s been! Origin fans from NSW, QLD, and VIC experienced unforgettable moments as our schools took part in exclusive NRL League Stars clinics, showcased their skills during half-time at Ampol State of Origin games, and each received a $5,000 community grant.
This year’s program not only celebrated emerging rugby stars, giving lucky school kids the chance to play on Rugby League's biggest stage, but also made a significant impact on local development programs.
In February, some of our Lytton Lubricant Team connected with the Harristown Clontarf Academy to build, fill and palletise oyster shells cages. These cages were taken into Moreton Bay to assist in rebuilding the natural shellfish reefs. The teams finished 2.5 pallets of cages, providing approximately 80,000 new homes for shellfish in the bay.
Ampol was proud to recently announce an extension to our partnership with the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service for another 5 years. Completing over 1,500 missions per year, the service offers vital medical care for communities in Northern NSW.
Ampol Best All Rounder
The Ampol Best All Rounder Award is Australia’s most iconic secondary education recognition program. For 39 years it has been presented to thousands of final-year students, acknowledging their all-round contributions to their school and community.
