How you can save more time with AmpolCard in 2024

Time is money, and Ampols commitment to saving you both has been further fuelled in 2024. Lowering your running costs might start at the pump, with savings on every litre, but our commitment goes further, here’s how.

Save time with the Ampol app

Save your drivers time by enabling FuelPay in the Ampol app so they can pay for fuel straight from their phone. FuelPay is available at ~600 participating Ampol Foodary locations. To activate FuelPay in the Ampol app, simply tick ‘FuelPay’ for individual AmpolCard’s in your Card Portal. Once FuelPay is activated for your drivers, they can simply add their AmpolCard in the app and pay for fuel safely from the comfort of their vehicle.

Fraud control on the go

Convenience counts, which is why your AmpolCard offers fraud prevention and security through pin-restricted access and credit limits, and the ability to set spending limits across your account. This can all be done on the go, saving you time in your mobile enabled Card Portal.

Minimising risk

Setting transaction limits in your Card Portal is one of the quickest and easiest ways to minimise the risk of fraudulent card use, while ensuring your drivers still have the convenience of filling up when they need to. Consider your current fuel usage and spend, and then set or amend your transaction limits accordingly. You can also select the type of fuel products eligible to be paid for on each AmpolCard. You could nominate petrol or diesel fuel only, for example, depending on the vehicle the AmpolCard is linked to. This could help prevent unauthorised use of non-work vehicles, while also helping to manage and forecast fuel spending more efficiently.

Provide your drivers with flexibility

Through your Card Portal it’s also possible to select preferences and enable non-fuel transactions for selected cards. Once shop transactions are enabled in your Card Portal, your drivers will have access to everything they need to keep them moving from vehicle-related purchases such as oils and lubricants or breakfast, lunch and dinner options, as well as delicious coffee, energy drinks and all the essentials - the limits set are up to you.
