Ampol M1 Highway Northbound Ready for Festive Season
Wyong – Thursday 21 December
Ampol has provided commuters with an early Christmas present following the completion of upgrades at its M1 Northbound service centre at Wyong, New South Wales.
The refreshed M1 Northbound site is the latest site to be unveiled under Ampol’s highway redevelopment strategy and will see commuters enjoy improved traffic flow and greater convenience, with Ampol Foodary, Oliver’s, Oporto and Hungry Jack’s now housed under the one roof.
The completion of the M1 Northbound site follows October's grand opening of the twin service centres at Pheasants Nest, New South Wales.
"We are pleased to unveil the upgraded M1 Northbound in time for those travelling over the holiday period," Executive General Manager, Retail Australia, Kate Thomson said.
"Our M1 sites are strategically located for commuter and long-distance traffic and are expected to see large volumes of traffic over the summer months.
"These upgrades to our Northbound site will ensure we keep powering better journeys for our customers by offering them convenient, on-the-go fuel and snacks so they are re-energised for their summer road trips."
The revamped M1 northbound site is also the latest enhancement to Ampol's National Truck Network of ~380 sites across Australia and includes renovated dining room, toilet and long-haul driver amenities in addition to a reconstructed carpark, dual lane drive-thru and additional exit route to improve traffic on-site.
The M1 Southbound site is due to be completed in the first half of 2024, with further highway development announcements to come over the coming months.
