Doughnut Time Partnership
Ampol Expands Doughnut Time Partnership Across Australia
Sydney – Wednesday 22 March
Ampol Foodary and Woolworths MetroGo stores around the country are about to get a whole lot sweeter when they welcome Australian doughnut business Doughnut Time to their outlets this March.
Following the success of the Victorian launch between the Aussie brands, more than 500 Ampol stores around Australia will now offer their customers these tasty treats.
Doughnut Time is the first Australian retail brand to have partnered with an Australian fuel and convenience store business on this scale.
James Willis, 31, who founded the retail private equity fund Ellerfax and took control of Doughnut Time – Supermarket and Convenience in 2020, said this was a landmark deal for the Queensland business.
"Doughnut Time's expansion into all Australian states and territories is a major milestone, positioning Doughnut Time as Australia’s fastest growing doughnut brand," Mr Willis said.
"We are expanding from 67 Ampol locations to more than 500 - our company’s biggest success since its creation in 2015."
Willis said he is looking forward to continuing the partnership with the iconic Australian business Ampol, who has a strong presence in regional and remote areas of Australia.
"Ampol customers can now add Doughnut Time to the list of essentials, and for the first time customers in the Northern Territory, Western Australia, South Australia, ACT and Tasmania can try our doughnuts in store."
Ampol, Executive General Manager, Retail Australia, Kate Thomson said Doughnut Time's national expansion was an example of Ampol supporting local business delivering quality products.
"After a successful rollout last year in Victoria, we are excited to increase our bakery offering of this proud Australian brand, Doughnut Time," Thomson said. "Doughnut Time and their unique doughnuts will now be showcased at over 500 Ampol Foodary and Woolworths MetroGo stores.
"The initial customer sentiment of Doughnut Time in Victoria was overwhelmingly positive and we look forward to seeing this replicated across the country."
Doughnut Time doughnuts are all handmade and their production site is capable of producing 8,000+ doughnuts an hour, to ensure Ampol customers’ sweet tooth is sufficiently satisfied.
Customers will be able to taste their way through flavours including Original Glaze, Strawberry Sprinkle, Chocolate Sprinkle, Caramel, Jam Doughnut and Chocolate Custard.
Doughnut Time is now available in Ampol Service Stations throughout more than 500 locations Australia wide.
