Ampol Extends Best All Rounder Program as It Enters 37th Year
Ampol has today announced the launch of the 2022 Ampol Best All Rounder Award program and a new competition to find and celebrate Australia’s best all-rounder.
The Ampol Best All Rounder this year enters its 37th year in Australian schools, with more than 2,000 of Australia’s future leaders to be recognised across the country. In 2022, the program will uncover and celebrate Australia’s Best All Rounder, acknowledging the achievements of young Australians making significant contributions in the classroom, on the sporting fields, with arts and culture and across the community.
Australia’s Best All Rounder will receive a $5,000 cash grant and $1,000 in AmpolCash. The school that nominates Australia’s Best All Rounder will also receive a $5,000 cash grant to go towards important equipment and technology required to support education outcomes.
Lana Rogers, Ampol Surf Life Saving Ambassador and Professional Ironwoman, said the extension of the Ampol Best All Rounder program is a great way to recognise excellence in students that goes beyond academia.
“As a Nutri-Grain Ironwoman winner, I know how important it is to feel recognised for hard work. For students finishing Year 12, receiving the Ampol Best All Rounder Award can give them the confidence they need to excel in further study or work.
“The extension of the program to Australia’s Best All Rounder aims to recognise those truly exceptional future leaders across the country and support their transition to the next parts of their lives.
“I look forward to meeting Australia’s Best All Rounder later in the year!”
The Ampol Best All Rounder Award recognises qualities that include leadership, service and community, sport, arts and culture, attitude and personal conduct. Registrations opened on 28 March and will close on 19 August, with entries for Australia’s Best All Rounder opening on 1 September. The Ampol Best All Rounder award pack includes a medal, certificate and a letter from Ampol’s Managing Director and CEO.
